The Grand Duke's Tour
La Tournée des Grands Ducs
Watch the grand duke's tour on SFlix. After supper, two elegant couples descend into a cellar in Les Halles, a haven for criminals and murderers. In this dive, well-known to the nocturnal Parisians, unsettling couples sit at tables over glasses of cheap wine and bowls of mulled wine. The visitors shudder in this atmosphere, but a few well-timed rounds of drinks win them over. A piano begins a waltz, a couple embraces and begins a voluptuous and brutal dance. Suddenly, a brawl breaks out, knives gleam. The police burst in as the panicked visitors flee. But it's all a setup! And the prostitute and the thug return home, having honestly earned their day.
